সোমবার (১০ ফেব্রুয়ারি) ভোলার অতিরিক্ত পুলিশ সুপার (সদর-সার্কেল) মো. মহসিন ফারুকের নেতৃত্বে উপজেলার চরপাতা ইউনিয়নের ৯নং ওয়ার্ডের পারিবারিক কবরস্থান তার মরদেহ উত্তোলন করে পুলিশ।
অতিরিক্ত পুলিশ সুপার (সদর-সার্কেল) মো. মহসিন ফারুক বলেন, ২০ জানুয়ারি এ মামলার তদন্ত কর্মকর্তা নিযুক্ত হই আমি। ঘটনাটি সরেজমিনে বেশ কয়েকবার তদন্ত করি। এতে মনে হয়েছে লাইজু আক্তারকে হত্যা করা হয়েছে। এজন্য তার মরদেহের পুনরায় ময়নাতদন্তের আবেদন করলে মঞ্জুর করেন আদালত। আদালতের আদেশে মরদেহ তোলা হয়।
গত ২ জানুয়ারি রাতে দৌলতখান মহিলা কলেজের দ্বাদশ শ্রেণির শিক্ষার্থী উপজেলার চরপাতা এলাকার মো. মোশাররফ হোসেন ওরফে মসু শিকদারের মেয়ে লাইজু আক্তারের মরদেহ রেখে পালিয়ে যান শ্বশুরবাড়ির লোকজন।
লাইজুর শ্বশুরবাড়ি সদর উপজেলার ধনিয়া ইউনিয়নের ২নং ওয়ার্ডের তুলাতলি গ্রাম থেকে মরদেহ উদ্ধার করে পুলিশ। এ ঘটনায় লাইজুর বড় ভাই ইসমাইল শিকদার বাদী হয়ে লাইজুর স্বামী তানজিলসহ সাতজনকে আসামি করে হত্যা মামলা করেন। পলাতক থাকায় এখনও কোনো আসামিকে গ্রেফতার করতে পারেনি পুলিশ।
