ছবিগুলো আজহারীবিরোধী বিভিন্ন ফেজবুক পেজ ও ‘নাইদরেইনস’ নামে এক আইডি থেকে পোস্ট করে প্রশ্ন ছোড়া হচ্ছে, ইসলামের একজন দাঈ হয়ে মালয়েশিয়ায় কি করে এতো দামি গাড়ি কেনেন আজহারী? মাহফিলে মহানবী হজরত মুহাম্মদ (সা:) ও সাহাবাদের ত্যাগি, সাদাসিধে জীবনের কথা বলে সেখানে কি তিনি বিলাসবহুল জীবনযাপন করছেন?
সমালোচনাকারীরা বলছেন, দেশে কোটি কোটি টাকা কামিয়ে বিলাসবহুল জীবনযাপন করতেই মালয়েশিয়ায় চলে গেছেন আজহারী।
এ নিয়ে সোশ্যাল মিডিয়ায় আজহারীভক্তদের সঙ্গে তার বিরোধীরা তুমুল বাকবিতণ্ডায় মেতেছেন।
খোঁজ নিয়ে জানা গেছে, এ বিলাশবহুল গাড়ি আজহারীর নয় এবং তিনি মালয়েশিয়ায় গিয়ে এ গাড়ি চালাননি। ছবিগুলো তার সম্প্রতি তোলা নয়ও বলে জানা গেছে।
মূলত এ গাড়িটি আজহারী চালিয়েছেন সিঙ্গাপুরে। আর গাড়ির মালিকের নাম সাহিদুজ্জামান টরিক।
সাহিদুজ্জামান টরিকের এক ঘনিষ্ঠ সূত্র জানায়, সাহিদুজ্জামান টরিক সিঙ্গাপুর-বাংলাদেশ চেম্বার্স অব কমার্সের সাবেক সভাপতি। তার দেশের বাড়ি চুয়াডাঙ্গা জেলায়। ছয়-সাত মাস আগে টরিকের নিমন্ত্রণে এক মাহফিলে যোগ দিতে সিঙ্গাপুরে যান মিজানুর রহমান আজহারী। সে সময় সেখানে টরিকের এই গাড়িতে চড়ে সিঙ্গাপুর ঘুড়েন। তিনি নিজেও অল্প কিছু সময় গাড়ি চালান। সে সময় তোলা সেসব ছবিই আজহারী বিরোধীরা সোশ্যাল মিডিয়ায় ছড়িয়ে অপপ্রচারে নেমেছে।
নাম প্রকাশে অনিচ্ছুক ওই ব্যক্তি বলেন, গাড়ির নেমপ্লেট দেখলেই বোঝা যায় এট মালয়েশিয়ার কোনো গাড়ি নয়। এখানে SJZ888IR লেখা। আর এমন নেমপ্লেট সিঙ্গাপুরের গাড়িগুলোর হয়ে থাকে।
উল্লেখ্য, মিজানুর রহমান আজহারীর সঙ্গে সাহিদুজ্জামান টরিকের বন্ধুত্ব রয়েছে। গত বছরের ১৬ ডিসেম্বর চুয়াডাঙ্গার আলমডাঙ্গা উপজেলার পাঁচকমলাপুর দারুল উলুম হাফেজিয়া কওমি মাদ্রাসায় তাফসিরুল কোরআন মাহফিলে আজহারী যোগ দিয়েছিলেন। ওই মাদ্রাসার পরিচালকই সাহিদুজ্জামান টরিক।
সেদিন প্রায় ৫০ বিঘা জমিতে মাহফিলের আয়োজন করা হলেও মুসল্লিরা জায়গা না পেয়ে আশপাশের রাস্তা ও যানবাহনে দাঁড়িয়ে মিজানুর রহমান আজহারীর বক্তব্য শোনেন। আজহারীর বক্তব্যের সময় সাহিদুজ্জামান টরিককে তার পাশেই দেখা গেছে।
