ঢাকা থেকে- ফাতেমা মীম, চট্টগ্রাম থেকে- জোবায়ের বিন জিহাদীঃ- চট্টগ্রাম সিটি করপোরেশন (চসিক) নির্বাচনে মেয়র পদে ক্ষমতাসীন আওয়ামী লীগের দলীয় মনোনয়ন পেয়েছেন দলটির চট্টগ্রাম মহানগরের যুগ্ম সাধারণ সম্পাদক রেজাউল করিম চৌধুরী।
শনিবার (১৫ ফেব্রুয়ারি) রাতে গণভবনে আওয়ামী লীগের সংসদীয় বোর্ড ও স্থানীয় সরকার জনপ্রতিনিধি মনোনয়ন বোর্ডের যৌথসভায় এ সিদ্ধান্ত নেওয়া হয়। সভায় সভাপতিত্ব করেন আওয়ামী লীগের সংসদীয় বোর্ড ও স্থানীয় সরকার জনপ্রতিনিধি মনোনয়ন বোর্ডের সভাপতি প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা।
সভায় সম্প্রতি শূন্য হওয়া পাঁচটি সংসদীয় আসনের উপ-নির্বাচনে আওয়ামী লীগের প্রার্থীদের বিষয়েও সিদ্ধান্ত নেওয়া হয়।
এরপর সভা শেষে মনোনয়নপ্রাপ্তদের নাম ঘোষণা করেন আওয়ামী লীগ সাধারণ সম্পাদক ও সেতুমন্ত্রী ওবায়দুল কাদের।
তিনি জানান, ঢাকা-১০ আসনে বিশিষ্ট ব্যবসায়ী শফিউল ইসলাম মহিউদ্দিন, গাইবান্ধা-৩ আসনে কৃষক লীগের সাধারণ সম্পাদক অ্যাডভোকেট উম্মে কুলসুম স্মৃতি, বাগেরহাট-৪ আসনে আওয়ামী লীগ কেন্দ্রীয় কার্যনির্বাহী কমিটির সদস্য আমীরুল আলম মিলন, বগুড়া-১ আসনে আওয়ামী লীগ থেকে টানা তিনবার এমপি হওয়া প্রয়াত আবদুল মান্নানের স্ত্রী সারিয়াকান্দি উপজেলা আওয়ামী লীগের সভাপতি শাহদারা মান্নান ও যশোর-৬ আসনে জেলা আওয়ামী লীগের সাধারণ সম্পাদক ও উপজেলা চেয়ারম্যান শাহীন চাকলাদার দলীয় মনোনয়ন পেয়েছেন।
আগামী ১৯ ফেব্রুয়ারি বিকেল ৫টায় গণভবনে আওয়ামী লীগের স্থানীয় সরকার মনোনয়ন বোর্ডের পরবর্তীকালের সভা অনুষ্ঠিত হবে। সেখানে চট্টগ্রাম সিটি করপোরেশন নির্বাচনে আওয়ামী লীগ সমর্থিত কাউন্সিলর প্রার্থীদের বিষয়ে সিদ্ধান্ত নেওয়া হবে বাংলানিউজকে জানিয়েছেন দলটির দপ্তর সম্পাদক ব্যারিস্টার বিপ্লব বড়ুয়া।
