২২ মার্চ রবিবার রাতে নারায়ণগঞ্জ সদর উপজেলা নির্বাহী কর্মকর্তা নাহিদা বারিকের অনুরোধে গদীনসীন পীর হযরত মহিউদ্দিন দেশ, জাতি ও মুরিদানদের মঙ্গল চিন্তা করে এ ওরশ স্থগিত করেন।
ওরস মোবারক বন্ধ ঘোষণা করে গদীনসীন পীর হযরত মহিউদ্দিন করোনা ভাইরাস সহ সকল মহামারী রোগ থেকে মুক্তির জন্য আল্লাহর কাছে দোয়া প্রার্থনা করেন।
উল্লেখ্য যে, এই ওরশ প্রায় ৫৬বছর যাবত হয়ে আসছে। প্রতি বছর দেশের বিভিন্ন প্রান্ত থেকে ২০ হাজার মুরিদ সমাগম হয় এবং ওরশ উপলক্ষে কয়েকদিন ব্যাপী মেলা বসে।
