বুধবার (০৮ এপ্রিল) সন্ধ্যায় স্বাস্থ্য অধিদপ্তরের পরিচালক ডা. হাসান শাহরিয়ার কবির সিডনিনিউজকে এ তথ্য নিশ্চিত করেন। এ নিয়ে চট্টগ্রামে গত এক সপ্তাহে ৫ জনের শরীরে করোনাভাইরাস শনাক্ত হয়েছে। এর মধ্যে দুজন রয়েছে বাবা-ছেলে।
ডা. হাসান শাহরিয়ার কবির সিডনিনিউজকে বলেন, গত ২৪ ঘণ্টায় মোট ৬০ জনের নমুনা পরীক্ষা করা হয়েছিল। এর মধ্যে ৩ জনকে করোনাভাইরাস পজেটিভ হিসেবে শনাক্ত করা হয়েছে। এর মধ্যে একজন নগরীর হালিশহর, একজন সাগরিকা এলাকার এবং বাকি জন জেলার সীতাকুণ্ড এলাকার বাসিন্দা। তিন জনের বাসা এবং আশপাশের কয়েকটি বাসা লকডাউন করার নির্দেশ দেয়া হয়েছে।
প্রশাসনের সূত্রে জানা গেছে, সীতাকুণ্ড আক্রন্ত ব্যক্তি কাজের সূত্রে নারায়ণগঞ্জে ছিলেন। কয়েকদিন আগে তিনি বাড়িতে ফিরে আসেন। শারীরিকভাবে অসুস্থ থাকার পাশাপাশি করোনার উপসর্গ থাকায় বুধবার তার নমুনা সংগ্রহ করে বিআইটিআইডি। পরে সন্ধ্যায় ফলাফলে তার পজেটিভ উল্লেখ করা হয়েছে। প্রশাসন তার বাড়ি এবং আশপাশের এলাকা লকডাউন করেছে। ব্যাপক হারে করোনাভাইরাস ছড়িয়ে পড়ায় ইতোমধ্যে নারায়ণগঞ্জে লকডাউন করেছে প্রশাসন।
এদিকে নগরীর হালিশহর এলাকার বাসিন্দা করোনাভাইরাস আক্রান্ত নারী কয়েকদিন ধরেই অসুস্থ ছিলেন। মঙ্গলবার (০৭ এপ্রিল) তার নমুনা সংগ্রহ করা হয়েছিল। অবশ্য নমুনা সংগ্রহের পর থেকে তার বাসা লকডাউন করে রেখেছিলো আইন শৃঙ্খলা বাহিনী। তার শারীরিক অবস্থার অবনতি হওয়ায় তাকে হাসপাতালে নেয়ার প্রক্রিয়া চলছে। সাগরিকা রোড এলাকায় আক্রান্ত যুবকের বিস্তারিত জানা যায়নি।
এর আগে গত ৩ এপ্রিল প্রথমবারের মতো চট্টগ্রামে করোনা রোগী শনাক্ত হয়েছিল। ৬৭ বছরের এই বৃদ্ধ চট্টগ্রাম জেনারেল হাসাপাতালেই চিকিৎসাধীন ছিলেন। পরবর্তীতে ৫ই এপ্রিল তার ২৫ বছর বয়সী ছেলের শরীরেও করোনাভাইরাস শনাক্ত হয়। যে কারণে নগরীর দামপাড়া এলাকার ৬টি বাড়ি লকডাউন করে দেয়া হয়েছিলো।
গত ২৫ মার্চ কিটসহ প্রয়োজনীয় যন্ত্রপাতি আনার পর ২৬ মার্চ থেকে করোনাভাইরাসের পরীক্ষা শুরু করে বিআইটিআইডি। এ পর্যন্ত মোট ৩০০ জনের নমুনা সংগ্রহের পর এখানে পরীক্ষা করা হয়েছে। যার মধ্যে ৫ জনের শরীরে করোনাভাইরাস শনাক্ত হয়েছে।
