শিক্ষা সচিব মো. মাহবুব হোসেন বলেন, সরকার শিক্ষার গুণগত মানবৃদ্ধির জন্য বিভিন্ন উদ্যোগ নিয়েছে। বিদ্যমান পরিস্থিতি বিবেচনায় ক্লাসের সিলেবাস তৈরি করা হচ্ছে। সামাজিক যোগাযোগ মাধ্যমে পরীক্ষা নিয়ে গুজব রটানো হচ্ছে। এতে কান না দেয়ার পরামর্শ দিয়ে বলেন, পরিস্থিতি অনুযায়ী যথাসময়ে অভিভাবকদের সব জানানো হবে।
যুগান্তর সম্পাদক সাইফুল আলম বলেন, করোনাকালে শিক্ষায় ডিজিটাল পদ্ধতির ব্যবহার এবং অনলাইন ও টেলিভিশন-বেতার মাধ্যমে পাঠদানের পদক্ষেপ গ্রহণ সরকারের একটি প্রশংসনীয় উদ্যোগ। করোনা পরবর্তীকালেও হয়তো আগের মতো আর বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়সহ শিক্ষার বিভিন্ন ক্ষেত্রে স্বাভাবিক পাঠদান কার্যক্রম চালানো সম্ভব হবে না। আবাসিক হলে আর গণরুম রাখা যাবে না। পাঠ ও গবেষণার পাশাপাশি ক্যাম্পাস ব্যবস্থাপনায় পরিবর্তন আনতে হবে। বিশেষ করে সনাতনী ব্যবস্থার পাঠদান আর শতভাগ সম্ভব হবে না। তাই করোনা পরবর্তীকালেও শিক্ষা ও ক্লাস কার্যক্রমের একটি অংশ অনলাইনে চালু রাখা যেতে পারে। মোট কথা হচ্ছে, করোনা পরবর্তীকালের ‘নতুন স্বাভাবিক’ সময়ে শিক্ষা ব্যবস্থা কীভাবে পরিচালিত হবে সেজন্য এখনই পরিকল্পনা করা দরকার। তিনি ছাত্রছাত্রীদের আদর্শ ও সুনাগরিক হওয়ার পরামর্শ দিয়ে বলেন, সাফল্যের কোনো সংক্ষিপ্ত পথ নেই। এ ছোট বয়সে যে সম্মাননা গ্রহণ করেছ সেটা আমরা পাইনি। তাই এ সাফল্যের ধারা আগামী দিনেও অব্যাহত রাখতে হবে। সাফল্যের জন্য অধ্যাবসায়ের কোনো বিকল্প নেই।
নর্থসাউথ ইউনিভার্সিটির বিওটি চেয়ারম্যান এমএ কাসেম বলেন, করোনা পরিস্থিতির কারণে শিক্ষাপ্রতিষ্ঠান খুলে রাখা যাচ্ছে না। কিন্তু একজন শিক্ষার্থী যদি এভাবে বেশিদিন পাঠগ্রহণ থেকে দূরে থাকে তাহলে তা মেধা বিকাশে বাধা হয়ে যাবে। এজন্য শিক্ষার্থীদের অনলাইন শিক্ষায় উৎসাহিত করতে হবে। শিক্ষায় গতি ফিরিয়ে আনতে হবে।
