এ কার্যক্রমের অংশ হিসেবে আজ বুধবার সন্ধ্যায় ভোলার বোরহানউদ্দিন উপজেলার গংগাপুর ইউনিয়নের মিলনকেন্দ্র জয়া বাজার ও মাছ বাজারে অনুষ্ঠিত হল সচেতনতামূলক সভা।
অনুষ্ঠানে সিনিয়র উপজেলা মৎস্য অফিসার এ,এফ,এমন নাজমুস সালেহীন এর সভাপতিত্বে ওই সচেতনামূলক সভায় প্রধান অতিথি ছিলেন উপজেলা নির্বাহী অফিসার মোঃ সাইফুর রহমান।
এ সময় তিনি বলেন,প্রজনন মৌসুমে ডিম ছাড়ার জন্য ইলিশ সমুদ্র থেকে দলবেঁধে বড় নদীতে পাড়ি জমায় ইলিশের দল।নদীর পছন্দসই স্থানে ডিম ছেড়ে আবার চলা শুরু হয়ে সমুদ্রের অভিমুখে। তিনি আরো বলেন,২৫ থেকে ৫৫ সেঃ আমি আকারের একটি ইলিশ আনুপাতিক হারে দশমিক ১ থেকে ২ মিলিয়ন ডিম ছাড়তে সক্ষম।তাই ইলিশের প্রজনন সুরক্ষা ও বৃদ্ধিতে
নিষিদ্ধকালীন সময়ে আপনারা সরকারি আইনের প্রতি শ্রদ্ধাশীল থাকবেন।
