- বোরহানউদ্দিন (ভোলা) প্রতিনিধিঃ ভোলার বোরহানউদ্দিন উপজেলার কাচিয়া ইউনিয়নের ৮ নং ওয়ার্ডে সাংবাদিক তুহিন খন্দকারের উপর হামলা ও ক্যামেরা ভাংচুরকরে ছিনিয়ে নিয়েছে সন্ত্রাসীরা। গত শুক্রবার (৩০ ডিসেম্বর) বিকালে অনিল মাষ্টার এর বাড়িতে পেশাগত কাজে তথ্য সংগ্রহ করতে গেলে এ হামলার শিকার হন ভোলা জেলা অনলাইন প্রেসক্লাব সভাপতি তুহিন খন্দকারসহ আরো ৩ সাংবাদিক। প্রকাশ্যে হামলার ঘটনার ভিডিও ফুটেজ থাকার পরও বোরহানউদ্দিন থানা পুলিশ মামলা নেয়নি এমন অভিযোগ সাংবাদিক তুহিন খন্দকারের।
স্থানীয়রা জানান, কাচিয়া ইউনিয়নের ৮ নং ওয়ার্ডের ছলেমানের ছেলে সেলিম, তুহিন অরফে নাদিম, শাহীন আলম খোকন, সোহেব, নাঈম, মৌসুমি ও লাল মিয়ার ছেলে ছলেমান সন্ত্রাসী কার্মকান্ড চালিয়ে ৪ সাংবাদিকের উপর হামলা চালায়। তাদের ক্যামেরা ভাংচুরকরে ছিনিয়ে নেয়। এসময় উপস্থিত আহত সাংবাদিকদের সামনেই লোকমান নামক ভিক্টিমসহ তার পরিবারকে পিটিয়ে গুরুতর আহত করে। আহত সাংবাদিকরাসহ ভিক্টিম ও তার পরিবার বোরহানউদ্দিন হাসপাতালে ভর্তি হয়ে চিকিৎসা নেয়। আহত সাংবাদিক তুহিন খন্দকার জানান, ভুক্তভোগী লোকমান নামক ব্যক্তির বসতঘর জোরপূর্বক দখল করে ঘর থেকে বের করে দেওয়ার ঘটনায় ভোলা জেলা অনলাইন প্রেসক্লাবে লিখিত অভিযোগ করেন জনৈক লোকমান । সত্যতা যাচাই করতে ঘটনাস্থলে যাই। সেখানে ভুক্তভোগী লোকমান ও তার পরিবারকে পিটিয়ে গুরুতর জখম করে হামলাকারীরা। ঘটনাটি ক্যামেরায় ভিডিও ধারন করি। হঠাৎ সাংবাদিকদের উপর হামলা করে ক্যামেরা ভাংচুর চালিয়ে ক্যামেরা ছিনিয়ে নেয় হামলাকারীরা। এতে ভুক্তভোগী লোকমানসহ তার পরিবার ও ৪ সাংবাদিক গুরুতর আহত হয়েছে। ক্যামেরা ছিনিয়ে নিলেও মোবাইলে হামলার কিছু ভিডিও রয়েছে। যাহা প্রকাশ্য সাংবাদিক ও ভুক্তভোগীদেরকে পিটিয়ে গুরুতর আহত করতে দেখা যায়। থানায় মামলা করতে গেলে ভুক্তভোগী ও সাংবাদিকের মামলা নেয়নি বোরহানউদ্দিন থানার ওসি মনির হোসেন মিয়া। সাংবাদিকের উপর হামলা ও মামলা না নেওয়ার ঘটনায় ফেইসবুকে নিন্দার ঝড় ওঠে। অন্যদিকে ভুক্তভোগী লোকমান জানান, তার বিল্ডিং বসত ঘর জোরপূর্বক দখলকরে তাকে পিটিয়ে গুরুতর জখম করে হামলাকারীরা। ৯৯৯ এ কল করলে ঘটনাস্থলে পুলিশ আসে। পুলিশের সামনেও তাদেরকে মারধোর করে। পরে থানায় অভিযোগ করেও কোন বিচার না পাওয়ায় ভোলা জেলা অনলাইন প্রেসক্লাবে হামলাকারীদের বিরুদ্ধে তদন্তকরে সংবাদ প্রকাশকরতে লিখিত অভিযোগ করেন ভুক্তভোগী লোকমান। ঘটনা জানতে ভোলা জেলা অনলাইন প্রেসক্লাব সভাপতি সাংবাদিক তুহিন খন্দকারসহ ৩ জন সাংবাদিক ঘটনাস্থলে আসেন। সেখানে সাংবাদিকদের সামনেই ভুক্তভোগী লোকমানসহ তার পরিবাকে পিটিয়ে গুরুতর আহত করে। ভিডিও ধারনকরার সময় সাংবাদিকদেরকে পিটিয়ে গুরুতর আহত করে ক্যামেরা ভাংচুর চালিয়ে ছিনিয়ে নেয় হামলা কারীরা। ঘটনায় সাংবাদিক ও ভুক্তভোগীর মামলা নেয়নি পুলিশ।
এঘটনায় রবিবার ভোলায় আদালতে মামলা করেন সাংবাদিক তুহিন খন্দকার। মামলাটি বিজ্ঞ আদালত ডিবি পুলিশকে তদন্তকরে প্রতিবেদন দাখিলের নির্দেশ প্রদান করেন। এদিকে হামলা কারীদের কাছে ঘটনার বিষয়ে জানতে চাইলে হত্যার হুমকি দেয় সাংবাদিকদেরকে।
অনুসন্ধানে জানা যায়, সাংবাদিকদের উপর
হামলাকারী তুহিন ওরফে নাদীম এর বিরুদ্ধে একই উপজেলয় হাসান নগর ইউনিয়নে নারী ও শিশু ধর্ষণ মামলায় সাজা দেয় ভোলার বিজ্ঞ আদালত। পরে কয়েকমাস জেল খেটে মহামান্য হাইকোর্ট থেকে জামিনে আসেন তিনি। সন্ত্রাসী ছলেমান এর বিরুদ্ধে এসিড মামলা ও ভুমি দখলের মামলা ছিল। এলাকায় পূর্ব থেকেই সন্ত্রাসী কর্মকান্ড চালিয়ে যাচ্ছে তারা। এবং সেলিমের বিরুদ্ধে, নারী ও শিশু নির্যাতন মামলা ও জোরপূর্বক জমি দখলের মামলা চলমান রয়েছে বলে জানা যায়।
সাংবাদিকদের উপর হামলার ঘটনায় ভোলা জেলা রিপোর্টার্স ইউনিট সভাপতি আল আমিন শাহরিয়ার অসাধারণ সম্পাদক আব্দুস শহীদ তালুকদার, বোরহানউদ্দিন অনলাইন প্রেসক্লাব সভাপতি এইচ. এম. এরশাদসহ সাংবাদিক নেতৃবৃন্দ নিন্দা ও প্রতিবাদ জানিয়েছে। বোরহানউদ্দিন থানার অফিসার ইনচার্জ মোঃ মনির হোসেন মিয়া জানান, সাংবাদিকদের সাথে হাতাহাতির ঘটনা ঘটেছে আমি শুনেছি।
