শনিবার বিকেলে মেট্রোপলিটন ম্যাজিস্ট্রেট মাহমুদা আক্তারের আদালতে এ সংক্রান্ত শুনানি শেষে এ আদেশ দেন।
এর আগে ২০ সেপ্টেম্বর সন্ধ্যা সোয়া সাতটা থেকে পৌনে আটটা পর্যন্ত প্রায় এক ঘণ্টাব্যাপী ‘কলাবাগান ক্রীড়া চক্র’ ক্লাবে অভিযান চালায় র্যাব-২ এর একটি দল। এসময় ক্লাবের ভেতর থেকে আগ্নেয়াস্ত্র, গুলি ও মাদকদ্রব্য উদ্ধার করা হয়।
অভিযান শেষে র্যাব–২ এর অধিনায়ক লেফটেন্যান্ট কর্নেল আশিক বিল্লাহ সাংবাদিকদের জানান, ‘কলাবাগান ক্রীড়া চক্র’ ক্লাবের ভেতরে অভিযান চালিয়ে একটি লাইসেন্সবিহীন রিভলভার, তিন রাউন্ড গুলি, তিন তাস খেলার কার্ড, জুয়া খেলার স্কোরকার্ড ও কিছু ইয়াবা ট্যাবলেট উদ্ধার করা হয়েছে। এসময় ক্লাবের সভাপতি সফিকুল আলম ফিরোজসহ পাঁচজনকে আটক করা হয়েছে।
জানা যায়, ধানমন্ডির কলাবাগান ক্লাবের ক্যাসিনো নিয়ন্ত্রণ করতেন ফিরোজ। কৃষক লীগের কেন্দ্রীয় কমিটির সদস্য ও বায়রার সিনিয়র সহ-সভাপতি ফিরোজ একাদশ জাতীয় সংসদ নির্বাচনে চাঁদপুর-৫ (শাহরাস্তি-হাজীগঞ্জ) আসনে আওয়ামী লীগের মনোনয়নপ্রত্যাশী ছিলেন।
এছাড়া ফিরোজ কলাবাগানে ৩০ কাঠার জায়গা দখলে নিয়েছেন। ৭/৮ বছর ধরে পান্থপথ, কলাবাগান ও রাজাবাজারের কিছু অংশ, মিরপুর রোডের পূর্ব অংশে যারা বাড়ি করবে তাদের নগদ টাকা ও একটি করে ফ্ল্যাট দিতে হতো ফিরোজকে। পান্থপথের একটি বেসরকারি হাসপাতাল নির্মাণ কাজ দুই বছর বন্ধ রাখে ফিরোজ। পরে বোঝাপড়া হওয়ার পর নির্মাণ কাজ চালু হয়। ফিরোজের সঙ্গে আপোষ করতে হয়েছে।
ফিরোজ চাঁদপুরের শাহরাস্তি থানার রাঘই গ্রামের মৃত ইদ্রিস মিয়ার ছেলে। ঢাকায় ধানমণ্ডির ৬নং রোডের ৩৫ নম্বর বাড়িতে নিজস্ব ফ্ল্যাটে থাকতেন তিনি।
